AREA OF EXPERTISE/RESEARCH INTEREST OF FACULTY
The area of academic expertise focuses on interdisciplinary integration between feminism, literature, and traditional culture. The research specifically examines agency, bodily authority, and the negotiation of women’s identities in contemporary literary narratives as well as the realities of coastal communities and traditional industries in Pantura. Grounded in existentialist and materialist feminist theory, this expertise is also manifested through cultural conservation and revitalization programs via documentation of performing arts, inventory of local wisdom, and development of BIPA pedagogical materials. Its main focus is repositioning the roles of female subjects and cultural values to support sustainable cultural development.
