Branjang Village, West Ungaran – A major step forward has been taken by the Antoaquarium & Art MSME, an aquascape business based in Branjang Village, Semarang Regency. Thanks to a collaboration with students from the Thematic Field Work Program (KKNT) Team 107 of Diponegoro University (Undip), the SME now officially has its own website as a digital platform for promoting and marketing its products. This website is expected to serve as a bridge between local businesses and a broader market. It also represents tangible support for digital transformation among SMEs in rural areas.
This initiative is part of an information technology-based SME development program promoted by Undip KKNT Team 107. Through an educational and participatory approach, the students assisted in the digitization process, from design and content writing to training SME owners on how to use the website. The website contains complete information about aquascape products, a gallery of works, and order contact details that make it easy for consumers to reach Antoaquarium & Art directly.
Leon (21), a computer engineering student at Diponegoro University, was one of the main drivers in the development of the Antoaquarium & Art website. He was responsible for the frontend, designing a responsive user interface that is easily accessible to various groups. The main focus of the website’s development was to ensure ease of navigation, an attractive appearance, and functionality that supports the promotion and marketing of aquascape products digitally.
Other members of Team 107 also played a role in various aspects of development, from collecting and organizing product content, visual documentation for the gallery, writing product descriptions, to creating a website user guide for MSME players. In this activity, the team also provided technical training so that MSME owners could independently manage and update information on the website, including uploading products, managing orders, and reading visitor data.
Antoaquarium & Art, one of the creative businesses in Branjang Village, is known for its artistic aquascape creations, combining aquatic plants, stones, and aesthetic aquarium designs. The presence of this website strengthens the business’s existence in the digital realm, expanding customer access not only in the local area but also potentially reaching national and international markets. Featured products such as mini aquascapes for home interiors and custom aquarium systems are now presented in a professional manner through a digital platform.
The digitalization efforts of Antoaquarium & Art MSME are in line with the government’s program to encourage the digital transformation of the MSME sector as a pillar of the national economy. In addition, this activity is also a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), particularly in the aspect of community service, where students are directly involved in providing science and technology-based solutions to improve the welfare and independence of rural communities.
