West Ungaran, June 19, 2025 – Diponegoro University students conducted a Community Service Program (KKN) in Branjang Village, West Ungaran, bringing a program titled “Digital-Based Optimization of Aquascape Craft Promotion in Branjang Village.” The program focused on a local design and arts business, Antoaquarium & Art, known for producing unique and environmentally friendly aquascape crafts.
Aquascaping is not just a hobby of beautifying aquariums; innovation in the aquascape sector offers other benefits, including transforming these objects into products with high artistic value and potential for sale in home interiors or public spaces. However, aquascaping faces challenges in competing in the digital space, particularly in marketing, which can dim the potential of the aquascape business.
The KKN program provides a platform for students to have a positive impact on the wider community. Through the 2025 Community Service Program (KKN) held by Diponegoro University, students can drive economic growth for small and medium-sized businesses. The challenges faced by Aquascape entrepreneurs provide an opportunity for students to apply and implement the knowledge they have gained during their studies. This mentoring program provides basic training for entrepreneurs on digital marketing, social media content creation, business profile creation, and evaluating business strategies for the digital age.
The goal of this effort is to increase the reach of Aquascape products to a wider market segment, so that the wider community can recognize the significant benefits of Aquascape products in their lives. This program has received enthusiastic support from Aquascape business owners and local residents. Through this program, it is hoped that small and medium-sized businesses will gain access to digital technology to develop their businesses in today’s digital era.
