Epostika Kelana 2026: Undip Students Hold Event Series Highlighting Local Creative Economy with Sigur.id

Semarang — Inside the Art Center building of the Faculty of Humanities (FIB), Universitas Diponegoro, a group of Undip students held a series of events titled Epostika Kelana on 26–28 August 2026. Initiated by Muhammad Hamdan Mukafi and Sofi Esa Bela, the event was successfully carried out through three main activities: Epostika Rakit, Epostika Bhasya, and Epostika Tutur, which was then packaged together with Layar Epostika. Notably, the event also collaborated with Sigur.id, a local creative-economy MSME (micro, small, and medium enterprise) that produces woodcraft and epoxy resin craft. Epostika Kelana served as an event providing a space for inspiration, collaboration, and learning for students, creative economy actors, academics, and the general public to explore local potential through the lens of art, culture, innovation, and sustainability.

The series opened with Epostika Rakit on Wednesday, 26 August 2026, from 15.30–18.00 WIB at the Undip FIB Art Center. The activity took the form of a resin art-making workshop guided directly by Sigur.id, in which each participant had the opportunity to take home their own finished work. The workshop, held with limited slots, was priced at Rp85,000, discounted from the regular Rp100,000, as a special rate offered through the Epostika Kelana event.

The following day, Epostika Bhasya was held from 13.00–16.00 WIB, under the theme “Bedah Karya Bersama Sigur.id” (“Dissecting the Work with Sigur.id”). Through a talkshow session titled “Lapis Makna dalam Setiap Karya” (“Layers of Meaning in Every Work”), the event explored Sigur.id’s creative process in depth, from inspiration and creative journey to the philosophical values conveyed through the resin art pieces produced. The talkshow was held free of charge and featured the Owner of Sigur.id, Janu Adhe Saputra. The event also served as a space for sharing experiences and discussion for art enthusiasts within the creative industry.

The Epostika Kelana series then closed with “Epostika Tutur & Layar Epostika” on Friday, 28 August 2026, from 08.00–12.00 WIB at the same venue. Epostika Tutur was a seminar themed “Ekokultural sebagai Pilar Penguatan Ekosistem Ekonomi Kreatif Berkelanjutan” (“Ecoculture as a Pillar for Strengthening a Sustainable Creative Economy Ecosystem”), bringing together academics, practitioners, and creative industry players to discuss the role of the creative economy in driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and the empowerment of local potential. This series of activities was then packaged within Layar Epostika, a documentary film screening that served as a space for appreciation, reflection, and discussion on art, culture, and Sigur.id’s creative journey. Like Epostika Bhasya, this closing event was held free of charge for participants.
